About

Shizen (Japanese 自然, meaning nature in English) is an online trading card game dedicated to everything about nature, from Earth to space. It is a semi-automated TCG with official updates done weekly on Saturdays (GMT+8) with weekly, bi-weekly and monthly sets of games.

Our main currency is in the form of a gold bar, which you can gain from playing games and can be spent at Liffy's Shop for card packs and the likes. While the other currency is in the form of a vial, which you can gain when you level up and other games. Vials are like coupons, where every vial you gain can be exchanged for choice cards (2 vials = 1 choice).

Anything else that you need to know are explained below, otherwise contact us and we will answer your question ASAP.

TCG101

Online Trading Card Games are similar to the trading cards you knew as a child. Rather than playing in person and collecting cards from packs at the store, you collect everything online. The goal is to collect all of the cards you like, also know as mastering a deck. Online TCGs are free to play, a lot of fun, and very addictive! Interested in joining? Check out the rest of this section before moving on to the join form!

TradePost

Before you join, you need a place to store your stuff, also known as a trade post. To make life easier for you and for your fellow TCG members, you should separate your cards—at least into groups of keeping and trading. You are also required to keep a detailed card log, showing how you got every card. The final thing you need on your site is a way to contact you, either a form or an email link, so you can trade.

Levels & Level Ups

When you join Shizen TCG, you begin at level one and work your way up through the levels. In order to level up, you will need to collect the amount of cards needed to progress as shown in the table below and it is based on card count, not worth. The rewards for leveling up are 3 cards of choice, 4 random cards, 1 vial, 10 golds.

* After Ripe, you will level up every 800 cards gained.

Do keep in mind that no matter what level you ranked up, the set of rewards given will be the same even after level 10 (Ripe).

Mastering

Once you have collecting all of the cards in a deck, you have mastered the deck. This means you cannot trade away any of these cards (except for doubles, of course) but you will receive some rewards for doing so. For every card deck you master, you receive 2 cads of choice, 3 random cards, 5 golds.

CardTypes

Cards are the heart of every TCG and your goal is to complete these decks by gaining them through games or trade with other members. All decks have 20 cards each and features any aspect of nature, from plants to space, and all are worth 1.

Aside from the regular decks, we also have individual cards which are all worth 0 and can't be mastered. While the other two are not tradable, member cards are counted towards your trade count.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When can I start playing?
    - You can start participating in any Shizen TCG activities as soon as you have submitted your join form and uploaded your starter pack, regardless of not being approved yet.

  • I got doubles in my starter pack, what should I do?
    - If you get doubles for your collecting deck, you can swap it for a different number. If you get doubles from the given random cards, this is an exception to the doubles exchange rule—you can exchange 1 copy even if both are not to be traded away.

  • I'm a prejoiner, what are the perks?
    - None. All prejoiners and regular members have the same and equal benefits here at Shizen TCG, so there are no any advantages over others.

  • What update freebies can I take?
    - You can take any freebies from the latest update posted even though it was posted prior the date you have joined.

  • How many cards per deck can I take for each wishes or freebies?
    - Depending on the restrictions applied, you can take a max limit of 2 cards per deck for each wishes or freebies.

  • Do all update pulls expire?
    - No, because they are not restricted to any deadlines. However, do keep in mind that you can only submit any wish or freebies claims once.

  • Do I only take specific colors for wishes?
    - No. You can check out the X11 Colors as reference for the main colors' variations.

  • When can I donate my claims?
    - As soon as you've collected the images for your claimed decks. Although it's not being checked first for approval, do keep in mind that the deck maker who will create your deck will contact you for image replacements if necessary.

  • Can I remaster decks that I've already mastered?
    - Yes. Do keep in mind though that you will still receive the same amount of rewards and mastery badge.
